The small craft slipped along on a cushion of nothing throwing the never ending earth into the air. The sun shown down brightly glinting off the short wings as though they were giving the racing beast its thrust.
"Do you think we lost them?" gasped the second man white knuckles all that kept him where he sat.
"We just may have," said the first, eyes not looking any where but ahead just in case.
He banked the thing around a standing stone and did not have time to stop himself before they flew directly in to the yawning mouth of the great beast.
"You can never be free," it boomed as it swallowed them down and the escape was over.
Oh how sad! And intense.
